RATES/HOURS/DETAILS

Your dog must have a name tag or their name on their collar.  If you don't have one, please inform us at drop-off and arrange for one.

Call us at (847).251.8700 when you arrive for drop-off or pick-up. Allow approximately 1-3 minutes for a staff member to come to our front room.

For drop-off, please wait in your vehicle until any other dogs before you have gone in and you see a staff member free to take your dog. and then bring your dog to our door.  

For pick-up, please wait in your vehicle until you see a staff member come up to our front room with your dog and then come to our front door.

Have your dog on a leash at all times when arriving or leaving The Village Dog to ensure everyone's safety.  

If you don't have access to a mobile phone, call before you leave your home/office/etc

RATES

SEE OUR HOLIDAY RATES FOR SPRING BREAK PERIODS, THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS/NEW YEARS PERIODS LISTED FURTHER BELOW

All boarding and daycare rates are applied at the rate applicable at the time of the visit.

  • Check and Cash payments are due at pick-up for each visit.  We do not accept credit cards.

  • Zelle payments for Daycare are only accepted as follows:

    • Zelle payments must be made on each daycare visit the day of visit prior to calling us for drop off. Do not Zelle us for multiple daycare visits.

    • Include your dog's first and last name and date of service on your Zelle notes.c

    • Text the Zelle confirmation to 847.845.1811 prior to drop off.

    • Our only Zelle address is:  info@thevillagedog.net

  • For Zelle payments for Boarding, submit the payment when you call for pickup before picking up your dog and we'll give you the total amount due.  Include your dog's first and last name and date of service on your Zelle notes. Text the Zelle confirmation to 847.845.1811 prior to picking up your dog.

DAYCARE RATE: 

$50 for check and cash payments

STANDARD BOARDING RATE:  Our boarding price includes full-day daycare at no additional charge - how nice!

$85 per dog per night includes full day of daycare.  For check-out day, if you pick up your dog between 3:00-6:30pm, add our daycare rate.

HOLIDAY PERIODS BOARDING RATE:

Rates for Spring Break periods, Thanksgiving Holiday period, Christmas/New Years Holiday period are $105/night.  

For check-out day, if you pick up your dog between 3:00 - 6:30pm, add our daycare rate.

STANDARD HOURS for DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP FOR DAYCARE AND BOARDING:  (For holiday hours, see further below.)                

7:00am -10:00am  and also between   3:00pm - 6:30pm    Open daily including Saturdays and Sundays

HOLIDAY HOURS FOR  DAYCARE and for BOARDING DROP-OFF/PICK-UP:

CLOSED FOR DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.

​ADDITIONAL DETAILS

FOR BOARDING:

We have beds and toys and ask you not to bring anything other than your dog's food/meds.

Provide your dog's food as follows. 

  • Please do not individually bag meals. Please only send enough food for the meals we will feed your dog.  We recommend providing extra food per meal as they'll be more active daily by us than they are usually.

  • Please provide food for your dog's visit in a bag or container we won't have to return to you.

  • Do not send can covers, scoops, bowls -- we have these items. Do not send any containers or items you want returned.

FOR MEDICATIONS OR SUPPLEMENTS:​

  • Provide Pill Pockets or canned food to hide the pills for any pills/supplements we're to administer,

  • Notify us at drop-off that you have included medication/supplements with their food, and advise us as to what type of medication it is.

  • Include a note in the main food bag with instructions regarding the type of medication and the administration of the medication/supplements you've provided.​

FEEDING NOTES:​

  • In instances where we provide dog food, $10 per meal.  

​

Owners must provide a vet record of current vaccinations for rabies, distemper, and bordetella. Titer tests accepted as an alternative. 

 

Puppies accepted after they have all required vaccinations as well as the parvovirus vaccination, usually this is by 4 months old.

 

Prior to daycare or boarding for the first time, dogs must pass a brief temperament evaluation which can be done on the first playdate.

 

Prior to boarding for the first time, dogs are required to attend daycare for either a full-day or a half-day which is a morning drop-off then pick-up within 4hrs at our daycare rate listed above.
