RATES/HOURS/DETAILS

  1. Customers (or their representatives) must wear a mask and have it on prior to arriving at our front door for drop-off and pick-up.

  2. Payment is due at pick-up.  We do not accept credit cards.

  3. Your dog must have a name tag on their collar or embroidered into their collar.  If you don't have one, please get one before arriving at The Village Dog.

DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP PROTOCOL

  • Call here at (847).251.8700 when you arrive for drop-off or pick-up. Allow approximately 1-3 minutes for a staff member to come up front.

  • For drop-off, please wait in your vehicle until any other dogs before you have gone in and you see a staff member free to take your dog.  

  • For pick-up, please wait in your vehicle until you see a staff member come up to our front greeting room with your dog and then come to our front door.

  • Have your dog on a leash at all times when arriving or leaving The Village Dog to ensure everyone's safety.  

  • If you don't have access to a mobile phone, call before you leave your home/office/etc.

  • Payment is due at time of pick-up.  No credit cards accepted.  We accept check or cash.

Note:  All boarding and daycare rates are applied at the rate applicable at the time of the visit.

We offer discounted rates to veterans and members of the military.  Please let us know if this applies to you.

DAYCARE RATE: 

$40 per day

If needed, we feed lunch to puppies up to 6 months old.  For lunch feedings, please provide your food in a reusable container we can return to you or in a paper bag(s) to reduce the use of non-biodegrable plastics.

BOARDING RATE:  (Boarding price includes full-day daycare)

$70 per dog per night.  For check-out day, if you pick up your dog between 3-6:30pm, add our daycare rate.  For additional care or for dogs under 15lbs, starting at $75 per night.

Do not individually bag each meal. Whenever possible, please provide the food in a reusable container we can return to you or in a paper bag(s) or dog food bag to reduce the use of non-biodegrable plastics.

HOLIDAY PERIODS BOARDING RATE:

(Holiday periods include:  SPRING BREAK HOLIDAY PERIOD, THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY PERIOD, CHRISTMAS/NEW YEARS HOLIDAY PERIOD, MEMORIAL DAY 5-day period, 4TH OF JULY 5-day period, LABOR DAY 5-day period.)

Rates for Thanksgiving Holiday period, Christmas/New Years Holiday period and Spring Break Holiday period are $80/night.  

Rates for Thanksgiving Holiday period, Christmas/New Years Holiday period and Spring Break Holiday period for any additional care or for dogs under 15lbs are $85/night. 

Rates for Memorial Day 4-day period, Fourth of July 4-day period and Labor Day 4-day period are $75/night.  

Rates for Memorial Day 4-day period, Fourth of July 4-day period and Labor Day 4-day period for any additional care or for dogs under 15lbs are $80/night. 

For check-out day, if you pick up your dog between 3-6:30pm, add our daycare rate.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

FOR BOARDING:

We have beds and toys and ask you not to bring anything other than your dog's food/meds.

Provide your dog's food as follows.  If you don't bring food, we provide food starting at $10 per meal.

  • Do not individually bag each meal. Please only send enough food for the meals we will feed your dog.  Extra food will not be returned.

  • Please provide tthe food for your dog's visit in paper bag(s), grocery bag(s), or a dog food bag.

  • Do not send can covers, scoops, bowls -- we have these items. Do not send any containers or items you want returned.  

FOR MEDICATIONS OR SUPPLEMENTS:

  • If you have multiple pills/supplements we're to administer, provide Pill Pockets or canned food to hide the pills.

  • Notify us at drop-off that you have included medication/supplements with their food, and advise us as to what type of medication it is.

  • Include a note in the main food bag with instructions regarding the type of medication and the administration of the medication/supplements you've provided.​

FEEDING NOTES:

  • No additional charge for special dietary feeding requirements.

  • In instances where we provide dog food, $10 and up per meal.  

Owners must provide a vet record of current vaccinations for rabies, distemper, and bordetella. Titer tests accepted as an alternative. 

 

Puppies accepted after they have all required vaccinations as well as the parvovirus vaccination, usually this is by 4 months old.

 

Prior to daycare or boarding for the first time, dogs must pass a brief temperament evaluation which can be done on the first playdate.

 

Prior to boarding for the first time, dogs are required to attend either a full-day ($40) or half-day of daycare (with a morning drop-off and pick-up within 4hrs for $30).
