RATES/HOURS/DETAILS

NOTE:

1)  REVIEW OUR SPECIFIC DROP OFF AND PICK UP HOURS PRIOR TO ANY ARRIVAL.  THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO OUR HOURS.

DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP PROTOCOL

• Call here at (847.251.8700) when you arrive for drop-off or pick-up. Allow approximately 1-3 minutes for a staff member to come up front.

• For drop-off, please wait in your vehicle until any other dogs before you have gone in and you see a staff member free to take your dog.  

• For pick-up, please wait in your vehicle until you see a staff member come up to our front greeting room with your dog.  

• Have your dog on a leash at all times when arriving or leaving The Village Dog to ensure everyone's safety.  

• Have a name tag attached or sewn onto your dog's collar, and ensure that the collar is adequately tightened/secured.

• If you need any assistance, let us know and we'll be happy to transport your dog to/from your car.   

• If you don't have access to a mobile phone, call before you leave your home/office/etc.

• Payment is due at pick-up.

• We do not accept credit cards.

RATES

We offer discounted rates to veterans and members of the military.  Please let us know if this applies to you.

Please note:  All boarding and daycare rates are applied as the rates applicable at the time of the stay.

DAYCARE RATE:

Offered Monday - Sunday         $40   (if your dog attends 5 days/week on ongoing basis or if you have 2 of your own dogs attending then rate is $35/dog/day)

Half-day rate:                          $30 for 4 hours or less offered during the current health crisis.

 

BOARDING RATE:  (Boarding price includes full-day daycare.  Add Check-Out Day Rate as listed below)                

Standard boarding rate:  $65 per dog per night plus Check-Out Day Rate (see below)

For Special Sleeping Arrangements Upstairs:  $75 per dog per night plus Check-Out Day Rate (see below)

HOLIDAY BOARDING RATE FOR SPRING BREAK HOLIDAY PERIOD, THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY PERIOD, CHRISTMAS/NEW YEARS HOLIDAY PERIOD:

Holiday boarding rate:  $75 per dog per night for Spring Break holiday period, Thanksgiving holiday period, Christmas/New Years holiday period.

Holiday boarding rate for special sleeping arrangements upstairs:  $80 per dog per night for Spring Break holiday period, Thanksgiving holiday period, Christmas/New Years holiday period.

BOARDING CHECK OUT DAY RATE:  Like a hotel, if check-out is during our morning pickup period, there is no additional charge.  If you pickup your dog during our afternoon pick-up period (hours below), add daycare rate.

• If someone other than yourself is picking up your dog, payment must be made at drop-off.​

No exceptions to our hours (except in the case of an emergency for our existing customers -- please contact us via phone in those instances).  If you're unable to pick up your dog within our hours, your dog will be fed and boarded at the applicable rates and you may pick up the next available day for pickup during our pickup hours.

 NON--HOLIDAY HOURS:  DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP FOR DAYCARE AND BOARDING  (For holiday hours, see further below.)

Monday - Friday:                    

7:30 am  -  10:00 am     

3:30 pm  -   6:00 pm

Closed for drop-off and pick-up between 10:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday.

 

Saturday and Sunday:      

10:30 am - 11:00 am 

3:00 pm -  3:30 pm 

Closed for drop-off and pick-up between 11:00 am - 3:00 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Presidents' Day Hours:                                                                  7:30am - 10:00am  and  3:30pm - 6:00pm

Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day Hours:                         10:30am - 11:00am  and  3:00pm - 3:30pm

​ADDITIONAL DETAILS

FOR BOARDING, PROVIDE FOOD AS FOLLOWS:

• Measure out the adequate amount of food your dog will need for their meals during their visit.  You don't need to bag meals individually.  Excess food won't be returned.  If enough food is not supplied, we will provide food at $7 and up per meal.

• Put the food in a container you don't need returned --- plastic/paper bags,etc.  You don't need to bag meals individually.  Write your dog's first and last name on the bag.  We'll transfer your dog's food to a foodsafe container designated for your dog.

• Do not send any containers or items you want returned.  Do not send can covers, scoops, bowls -- we have these items.

FOR MEDICATIONS OR SUPPLEMENTS:​

• Notify us at drop-off that you have included medication/supplements with their food, and advise us as to what type of medication it is.

• Include a note in the main food bag with instructions regarding the type of medication and the administration of the medication/supplements you've provided.​

A VIEWING OF OUR PLAY / SLEEP ROOMS IS DONE AT THE TIME OF A TEMPERAMENT EVALUATION:

Monday - Saturday by appointment.

FEEDING NOTES:

• No additional charge for special dietary feeding requirements.

• In instances where we provide dog food, $7 and up per meal.  

​

Owners must provide a vet record of current vaccinations for rabies, distemper, and bordetella. Titer test accepted as an alternative for the distemper vaccination. 

​

A name tag/name embroidered is required on your dog's collar.

 

Puppies accepted after they have all required vaccinations as well as the parvovirus vaccination, usually this is by 4 months old.

 

Prior to daycare or boarding for the first time, dogs must pass a brief temperament evaluation.  An evaluation can be done the morning of a first daycare visit.

 

Prior to boarding for the first time, dogs are required to attend either a full-day or half-day of daycare (rates applied).
